Browns rookie, former Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins arrested on domestic violence charge

Browns rookie and former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested on July 12 in Broward County, Florida, on a domestic violence charge.

Cleveland Browns second-round draft pick and former Ohio State running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested July 12 in Broward County, Fla.

Per the Broward County Sheriff's Office records, Judkins is being held in the county's main jail on a charge of "touch or strike/battery/domestic violence." The charge, according to Florida state law, is typically a first-degree misdemeanor.

Judkins' case status, according to the sheriff office records, is "pending trial." No other information was immediately available.

The Browns, a team spokesman told the Beacon Journal, are "aware and gathering information" on Judkins' arrest. Browns rookies are scheduled to report for training camp July 18, and the veterans report July 22.

Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (10) runs off the field during day two of NFL rookie minicamp at the Cleveland Browns training facility on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Berea, Ohio.

Judkins is the second Browns player to be arrested this offseason on a domestic violence charge. Linebacker Devin Bush Jr. has a July 18 formal arraignment in Allegheny County, Pa., Common Pleas Court stemming from a May 4 arrest for simple assault and harassment.

Judkins was the Browns' second second-round pick, No. 36 overall, in April's draft, after they selected UCLA linebacker Carson Schwesinger with the first pick in the round (No. 33 overall). The running back is the only member of the team's seven-person draft class not signed, one of 30 second-round picks across the league that remain unsigned.

Judkins started his college career in 2022 at Ole Miss, and was one of the top rushers in the SEC both seasons in Oxford. He transferred to Ohio State in 2024, rushing for 1,060 yards (5.5 average) with 14 touchdowns while helping the Buckeyes win the national championship.

Over his three-year college career, Judkins rushed for 3,785 yards and 45 touchdowns. He played in 42 career games with 27 starts.
