La Liga outfit Real Betis are close to finalising a deal for a fresh addition to the club’s attacking ranks.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Gonzalo Petit as the player in question.
Petit, for his part, is a 20-year-old attacker, who generally operates in a central role.
The youngster is a youth international with Uruguay, and currently plies his club trade with Nacional de Montevideo.
Petit has long been hailed for not only his goalscoring abilities, but his all-round play and ability to link with his teammates, too.
And such abilities, evidently, have not gone unnoticed in Spain…
As per a report from the aforementioned MD, Petit is on the verge of taking his talents to La Liga, with Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis:
‘Real Betis is very close to finalizing the transfer of Uruguayan U20 international striker Gonzalo Petit, who plays for Nacional de Montevideo, according to the club’s vice president and confirmed to MD by sources at the Betis club.’
The Verdiblancos, it is understood, will fork over a sum in the region of €6 million for 85% of the forward’s playing rights.
