Serie A giants Juventus are eyeing a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers defensive midfielder Andre as they bid to bolster their engine room this summer, per Gianluca DiMarzio.

The Bianconeri are anticipating the potential departure of Douglas Luiz, who has endured a torrid time at the Serie A club and is being tipped to return to the Premier League.

Andre is atop the wishlist of replacements after impressing since he joined Wolves last summer from the Brazilian top-flight. His excellent showings in the engine room did not go unnoticed.

The Brazilian made 2.8 tackles and 1.1 interceptions per 90 across 33 Premier League appearances this season.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder won 60% of his ground duels (4.3 per game) and recovered the ball 5.9 times per 90. He proved an effective screen in front of the Wolves defence.

Juventus are missing a solid presence like Andre in their midfield. He is the metronome that the engine room sorely lacks.

While Manuel Locatelli is a stable presence, Andre moves the ball faster. He also provides more control.

Andre will likely jump at the chance to compete in the UEFA Champions League and rub shoulders with the elites if Juventus come for him this summer.

However, Wolves will also be eyeing a profit on the €22 million they paid to Fluminense last summer to sign him.

It remains to be seen whether the cash-strapped Serie A record winners can stump up the fee.

Meanwhile, Juventus have submitted a new offer to sign Manchester United attacker Jadon Sancho this summer. They are offering €10 million plus €5 million in bonuses.

The Old Lady wants to bring the Englishman to the Allianz Stadium, but the financial conditions are proving difficult.

United want £25 million to sell Sancho. It is unlikely the new offer moves the needle.
