AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (64-64) lost 8-3 (BOX SCORE)

Sugar Land got on the board in the second inning on a Cole 2 run HR. Gordon got the start but struggled a bit allowing 3 runs over 3.2 innings. He was relieved by Kouba who allowed 4 runs over 1 inning. The offense got a run back in the 4th scoring a run on an error. The Isotopes got another run in the 8th and the offense was unable to score again as the Space Cowboys dropped this one 8-3.

Note: Cole is hitting .467 in Triple-A.


AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (43-81) lost 4-2 (BOX SCORE)

Tredwell started for the Hooks but struggled allowing 2 runs while retiring just 2 batters. After Guilfoil tossed 3 scoreless in relief, Halligan came on and allowed 2 runs as the Drillers extended their lead. The Hooks got on the board in the 6th scoring a run on a double play. The Hooks got another run in the 9th on a Garcia RBI double but that was it as they fell 4-2.

Note: Williams is hitting .274 this season.


A+: Asheville Tourists (51-70) won 9-4 (BOX SCORE)

Santos started for Asheville and allowed 4 runs over 5 innings. The Asheville offense got on the board in the 4th inning on a Whitaker 2 run HR. In the 8th inning, the offense would rally with a Gomez RBI single, Vogel grand slam, Nunez RBI double and Whitaker groundout as they took the lead. The pen was great tossing 4 scoreless innings as Asheville won 9-4.

Note: Nunez has a .713 OPS this season.


A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (66-59) lost 5-3 (BOX SCORE)

Rodriguez started for the Woodpeckers and went 4 innings allowing 2 runs. The offense got on the board in the 5th on a Thomas RBI double. Rosario was next in and he allowed 1 unearned run over 2.2 innings. In the 7th, the offense tied it up on a Ramirez 2 run single. The Pelicans took the lead with a run in the 8th and 9th and the offense was unable to respond as the Woodpeckers fell 5-3.

Note: Call has a .757 OPS this season.
