Is Bayern Munich cash-strapped?

One could be forgiven for having that impression at times as the famously cost-conscious Bavarians have held to strict financial discipline in the transfer window. A report from Sport Bild, however, indicates that the situation is not exactly dire.

As captured by @iMiaSanMia:

In addition to the club’s main fixed deposit account, FC Bayern have a substantial reserve. An estimated sum of €100-150m is sitting dormant in the Allianz Arena’s GmbH (company with limited liability) account. Thanks to events such as the recent Champions League final and the Nations League Final Four, a double-digit million-euro profit is expected to be announced at this year’s annual general meeting [@altobelli13

That is not to say that fiscal discipline is unwise — indeed, having lost out on the likes of Florian Wirtz and other targets, Bayern is probably doing well to hang on to some of that reserve for future top targets. Now for some BFW mini “analysis”: sure wouldn’t mind an extra player or two for depth, though.
