In baseball news, Corey Seager’s off day could’ve gone better as the shortstop underwent an emergency appendectomy.
There is not yet a timetable for Seager’s return, leaving the rest of his season up in the air.
And Mark Teixeira is running for Congress. Sure.
That’s all for this morning. The Seager-less Rangers start up a series in Sacramento tonight against the A’s at 9:05 with Jack Leiter looking to build on last week’s stellar start.
