Max Eberl denies suggestions of rift in Bayern Munich front office

All good in the neighborhood.

How many chefs are in the Bayern Munich transfer kitchen?

Recent reports of a loan-only policy appear to pit part of the Rekordmeister’s supervisory board against its sporting leadership. But chief board member for sport Max Eberl dismissed suggestions of conflict, suggesting that such tensions are par for the course in an organization such as Bayern.

Well — if you can call them tensions.

“There’s no trouble,” Eberl said of his relationship with board member and honorary president Uli Hoeneß (via ZDF, as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “There are different ideas. One would like to do something else, the other says we have to pay attention to the finances. Of course, that’s completely legitimate.

“This is Bayern Munich. We are completely in agreement and there’s no tension. It is my job to implement that [the cost cutting policy] as best as possible.”

Will Eberl succeed? The transfer window closes September 1st.
