More ch-ch-ch-ch-changes to the Seahawks active roster and practice squad.
Amid the absolute bombshell news of Micah Parsons getting traded to the Green Bay Packers, we did have some Seattle Seahawks roster news come in prior to the start of Thursday’s practice.
As previously reported, the Seahawks have added former Denver Broncos receiver and special teams returner Courtney Jackson and Los Angeles Rams fifth-round linebacker Chris ‘Pooh’ Paul Jr to the practice squad. Running back Anthony Tyus III and outside linebacker Jalan Gaines were released in corresponding moves.
On the active roster, the Seahawks added inside linebacker Chazz Surratt following his departure from the San Francisco 49ers. Safety D’Anthony Bell, who made the initial 53-man roster alongside Ty Okada, was waived. We’ll see if Bell lands on the practice squad should he clear waivers, but that’s definitely notable given Bell and Okada were both battling for roster spots throughout camp and into preseason.
As always, keep an eye out for more roster moves as the Seahawks near their Week 1 opener against the San Francisco 49ers.
