The hottest new duo in AEW is Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander. They are undefeated as a tag team. Granted, it has only been one match, but it was an impressive match. Cameron and Statlander prevailed over Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford, aka Megasus and Penelopus.
Harley was so excited after the victory that she eagerly came up with tag team names. Harley’s first suggestion was the Bushwhackers. No go on that one. She kept brainstorming to rattle off Stat & Cat and Stat Daddy Daycare. Statlander told her to tone down the level. Harley’s noggin continued to turn for Wrathlander. That could be a winner, especially since Harley can sing it for a theme song.
If the women’s tag titles ever come into reality for AEW, then Wrathlander may have stiff competition from another newly named duo. A few weeks back before teaming against Athena and Mercedes Moné, Alex Windsor found inspiration from Scotland to dub her partnership with Toni Storm as the Loch Ness Mummas. Timeless was impressed and added, “We will blow your pipes and squeeze your bags.”
