The ratings have been revealed for the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway. Per Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal, NBC received a 1.76 rating and 3.297 million viewers for the Saturday race. It’s a little low compared to last year’s numbers, 1.95 rating and 3.5 million viewers in 2024.

Stern pointed out that the 3.5 million viewers for the race was still good enough to be the No. 2 sporting event of the week on broadcast TV, only trailing the final four of the PGA Tour Championship. Additionally, Jeff Gluck of The Athleticsaid that the second Daytona race of the year was NASCAR’s most-watched race since Talladega in April (four million).

NASCAR fans saw an exciting race at Daytona that had multiple wrecks and 19 drivers having the lead. Ultimately, Ryan Blaney won the race to claim his second victory of the season.

During his post-race press conference, Blaney talked about going from 13th place to first in the final two laps. “It’s just situational stuff. On the restart, I was behind Cole [Custer]. I told Timmy [Fedewa] to tell Cole’s spotter if you want to jump to the third lane, I’m on board. You’ve got a wing man. I feel like we would drag other people up.

“It was big to try to be the first guys up there, like before it gets log-jammed. He never went for a while, and so I never went because I’m like, I’m going to wait on Cole to go. If he wants to go — unless it’s the last lap, then I’m going to jump up there and see what happens.”

Blaney’s win on Saturday night helped him finish the regular season second in Cup points. “I think it speaks volumes to how good we have been when we’ve finished races,” he said. “Obviously, you don’t want to have that many DNFs on the card, and I’d say half those DNFs we had a good chance of winning the race or at least running top 5.”
