Manchester United are adding youth to their ranks — and their third signing of the summer comes with big potential.

The Red Devils have officially confirmed the arrival of 18-year-old French striker Enzo Kana-Biyik. He joins on a free transfer from Le Havre and has signed a long-term deal with the club.

Kana-Biyik won't feature in red just yet. United have sent him straight out on loan to FC Lausanne-Sport in Switzerland.

It’s a move designed to give the teenager time to grow and gain first-team experience away from the pressure cooker of Old Trafford.

The club shared in an official statement: “Manchester United have completed the signing of exciting young forward Enzo Kana-Biyik. Following the signing of his contract, the emerging talent has secured a loan switch to Swiss Super League side, Lausanne-Sport.”

Kana-Biyik becomes the third addition of United’s summer, following big-money signing Matheus Cunha and fellow youngster Diego Leon. And yes, more business is expected before the transfer window slams shut.

Who is Enzo Kana-Biyik? The new Man Utd signing

Born in France and raised in the Le Havre academy, Kana-Biyik is no stranger to football DNA — his father is former Cameroon international Andre Kana-Biyik.

Enzo made waves last season, scoring nine goals in 18 appearances for Le Havre's U-19 side. Though he didn’t get minutes for the senior team, he was named on the bench for two matches.

Swiss side Lausanne-Sport praised their new arrival as “a powerful and technical striker with a great eye for goal.”

He’ll wear the number 22 shirt and is expected to play a key role this season, especially as the club gears up for UEFA Conference League qualifiers.

This move also marks the first time United have taken advantage of the Ineos club network, with Lausanne owned by the same group as the Premier League side.

If Kana-Biyik delivers in Switzerland, fans may soon see him knocking on the door back in Manchester.
