Carhartt partners with '47 in new MLB line

Carhartt and '47 released a line of brown duck fabric hats for fans to sport their favorite Major League Baseball teams.

Carhartt is bringing its Michigan workwear brand known for rugged products to the ballpark through a partnership with '47, a sports lifestyle brand that started as a single street cart in Boston.

The fashion collaboration offers a line of hats for fans of each Major League Baseball team crafted on Carhartt's signature brown duck fabric, "a rugged, ring-spun cotton known for its durability," according to a news release.

Carhartt and '47 are partnering to sell MLB hats starting Wednesday, July 9.

“Our partnership with ’47 celebrates the connection between hard work and sports, and honors those who give their all every day — whether they’re on the jobsite or in the stands cheering on their team,” Carhartt Chief Brand Officer Susan Hennike said in a news release. “We’re inspired by their passion and grit, and proud to provide durable gear that works as hard as they do.”

The hats are available in multiple styles at the Tigers team store at Comerica Park, as well as on Carhartt.com, 47brand.com, and www.mlbshop.com.

This is not the first time the brands collaborated. Their first collaboration was about eight years ago, according to a news release, and they plan to release hats with NBA, NFL, NHL and NCAA logos this fall.
