High school teams in College Football 26: How to create your HS in Road to Glory mode

College Football 26 is here. The EA Sports series continues this summer after returning in 2025 following a 10-year hiatus. The video game giant has had a year to work out the kinks from its first iteration of the college football video game since 2014, and gamers are expecting a much more polished product. 

Two of the many gripes from the CFB 25 cycle were that the Road to Glory mode didn't include any high school action as it had in the past. Gamers also didn't like that the game's Team Builder site for creating custom teams took way too long to be activated and was buggy when it finally did.

CFB 26 looks to knock out two birds with one stone. Not only is the Team Builder site already up and running, but it can also be used to create a high school team that you can join as you begin your Road to Glory and go through your college recruitment.

High school teams in College Football 26

Typically, Team Builder allows you to create a custom college team. Usually, this is for gamers whose alma mater or favorite team isn't a Division 1 program. You can add logos, create the roster, and even design your own stadium. If you want to play with them in Dynasty, you used to have to pick a college for them to replace, but in CFB 26, they can just be added. 

Road to Glory isn't back to what it was in its heyday. You used to be able to play through a high school season and could get recruited on both sides of the ball if you want. This year, Road to Glory goes back to high school, but you choose a series of moments to play each week. If you succeed, teams take more interest in you, but if you fail, you may miss out on scholarship opportunities. 

The good news is that now, Team Builder can be used to create any kind of team. If you want to create your high school team on the platform, you can. Once you link your account on the Team Builder website and create and download your team, it will be available to add to your Road to Glory experience when you first start a new session. 

What is Team Builder in CFB26?

Team Builder is EA Sports' online platform where you can create a custom team for CFB 26. You are now able to create a general team that can be used either for your dynasty mode or as your high school in Road to Glory. 

EA Sports really prioritized customization this year. You can create your school's brand, uniforms, and stadium with more options than ever. You can also craft the full roster of the team, so if you want to create your own high school, you can even add your teammates and customize their attributes. 

When will Team Builder be active in CFB26?

Team Builder was very delayed in CFB 25 last year. It's already active for CFB 26. You can go on the platform and download the created teams of your favorite streamers or go ahead and start building your own. 

What can you edit when you create a team in CFB 26?

You can edit almost anything you would want to for your team. You can start with templates for your team make-up or your stadium, and then you can customize them to your heart's content. The logo builder has been updated, and you can AI generate logos that will work with the game. You can also update player tendencies and personalize all of their attributes to make the team however good, average, or bad that you want.
