There's growing worry about the MAC conference heading into the 2025 college football season.
Few things are more synonymous with the college football season than MACtion. Late in the regular season, the MAC conference will begin playing primetime games during the middle of the week. The games, featuring some of the country's most exciting teams, always find a way to have a crazy ending, going viral on ESPN and ESPN2.
But there's now serious growing worry about the future of the conference.
Northern Illinois officially left the MAC earlier this year, joining the Mountain West as a football-only member. Now, another school is reportedly in talks to leave.
Ohio is reportedly in preliminary talks to join the Sun Belt Conference.

College football fans are growing concerned by the future of the conference.
"There should be a league between FBS and FCS," one fan suggested.
"Every team will be scrambling to get into a big conference or left out to dry," another fan noted.
"Travel budgets have to be growing exponentially," one fan added.
"We cannot lose the MAC! Don’t forget they got the big addition of UMass coming," another fan added.
"They need to make a group of 5 playoff to be honest. Then the winner gets to be in the actual playoffs," one fan added.
"You can mess with the PAC 12 and Big Ten all you want. But you stay the hell away from our sweet beautiful Maction," one fan added.
Hopefully, the MAC Conference will remain in tact for the foreseeable future.
We can't lose MACtion, that's for sure.
