After suffering broken ribs and landing on the IL, Peña will not play in the 2025 All-Star game, and will give up his spot to Tigers All Star SS.
The Houston Astros have been on a roll, dominating some of the best teams in Major League Baseball, including a sweep against the Los Angeles Dodgers without All-Star shortstop and former World Series MVP, Jeremy Peña.
Peña went down with a rib injury against the Chicago Cubs after being hit by a pitch. Peña was placed on the injured list with a minor rib fracture. As expected, Peña will not be able to play in the All-Star game, but Peña will still travel to Atlanta to attend the All-Star game and all the events that accompany it.
Jeremy Peña will go to the All-Star Game but will not play, Joe Espada said.

Peña will continue to rehab and work towards a return to the Astros lineup through the coming weeks. Peña has been in the weight room, but has yet to resume any baseball activities.
