Fayçal Fajr will not move to Raja Casablanca: What exactly happened?
According to exclusive reports from Africafoot, Raja Club Athletic president Jouad Ziyat personally called Moroccan international Fayçal Fajr on Friday evening to apologize and formally announce the end of transfer negotiations.
The club’s executive explained that the transfer could not be completed during this summer window due to what was described as an excessively delayed response from the player. Despite Fajr’s previously reported strong interest in joining the Green Eagles, the conditions required to finalize the move are no longer in place.

ouad Ziyat expressed his gratitude to the player for his genuine desire to wear the Raja jersey and wished him the best in his future endeavors. This decision concludes a transfer saga that had captivated the club's supporters in recent days.
Now 36 years old, Fajr remains a free agent. Having played for clubs such as Getafe, Deportivo La Coruña, Elche, and most recently Al Wehda, his extensive experience both at the club level and with the Atlas Lions—including during the 2018 World Cup—ensures he remains an attractive prospect on the market.
As a result, Raja will need to explore other options to strengthen their midfield, while Fajr may find opportunities elsewhere… unless there is an unexpected turn of events in a future transfer window.
