Caitlin Clark Reacts to Troubling Sophie Cunningham News

Bad news for the Indiana Fever.

The Indiana Fever have been dealt bad news yet again.

Indiana has been playing under first-year head coach Stephanie White, who entered the season looking to lead a team filled with stars like Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

While the Fever are certainly stacked, they have struggled with injuries. Clark has missed ample time this season and Sydney Colson and Aari McDonald both suffered season-ending injuries.

As White boosted the roster by adding several players on short-term contracts, the Fever announced that Cunningham will miss the remainder of the season due to an injury she suffered in the Fever's most recent game.

"Sophie Cunningham will miss the remainder of the season after suffering an injury during our game at Connecticut on Sunday," posted the official social media account of the Indiana Fever. "In a corresponding move, we have signed guard Shey Peddy to a 7-day hardship contract and released Kyra Lambert."

After the news was announced, Caitlin Clark took to social media, sharing her thoughts on the unfortunate development for the Indiana Fever.

"Love you always, Soph," Clark said.

Sophie Cunningham was playing in her first season with the Indiana Fever. She emerged as one of the Fever's biggest stars, averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

Clark reposted the photo of Cunningham on her personal social media page, truly showing the connectivity of the Fever roster.
