Becky Lynch Explains Why She Prefers Being A Heel

WWE star Becky Lynch prefers being a heel because she can have a bigger impact that way.

On What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes, Lynch said she enjoys playing a heel because it allows her to do more good in the ring. “I really love being a bad guy. I feel like I do more good being bad. I’m a better wrestler that way. I’m better at making people look good because I’m not a cool wrestler. I don’t have cool moves. I don’t do anything.”

Working with wrestlers like Lyra Valkyria and Bianca Belair, Lynch feels she excels because they have the flashy moves. “I feel like I’m a better wrestler because everybody else has all this cool stuff. Like Lyra [Valkyria], she’s got all this cool stuff, like wings. Bianca [Belair], when I was working with her, she had all this cool stuff. Becky Lynch made her return at WWE WrestleMania 41 after being off TV for almost a year. She stepped in as a replacement for Bayley to team up with Lyra Valkyria against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Their team defeated Morgan and Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles.

However, they lost the titles the next day on WWE RAW in a rematch against Morgan and Rodriguez. Frustrated by the loss, Becky Lynch, who had returned as a babyface, turned heel by attacking Lyra Valkyria.

The two feuded for months, during which Lynch revealed she had been the one to attack Bayley and take her spot at WrestleMania 41. Since then, Lynch has also won the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title. She is currently feuding with Nikki Bella, with the rivalry escalating over the past several weeks, including Lynch taking shots at Nikki’s relationship with John Cena.
