Ty Majeski dominates to win his fourth Slinger Nationals title

Hard work and a little gamble paid off for Ty Majeski and his team, who won convincingly at the 46th Slinger Nationals.

SLINGER – The hard work earlier made Ty Majeski’s latest Slinger Nationals victory look easy.

The defending NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion from Seymour dominated a rain-interrupted race July 8 at Slinger Speedway, leading the final 133 of 200-laps around the tricky quarter-mile.

How did Ty Majeski win the 46th Slinger Nationals?

Majeski, the fastest qualifier, started 12th, quickly climbed into the top five and was sitting second to Johnny Sauter when rain interrupted the race 60 laps in. Seven laps later he took a lead he would never relinquish.

“I kind of understood where I felt like I got beat in the ASA race a couple of weeks ago,” Majeski said. “Same car, same package. Really fought with it all day Monday. Kind of called an audible this morning and stepped outside our comfort zone and came here today with a package I haven’t ran here before, and it worked great, obviously.

“Yeah, it took a lot to get here, but once we got it there, it was pretty smooth sailing in the race.”

In addition to the $20,000 top prize, Majeski’s team picked up a substantial amount of bonus money for leading laps, cash put up by companies and individual fans.

Ty Majeski takes the checkered flag to win the 46th Slinger Nationals on July 8 at Slinger Speedway.

Has Ty Majeski won other Slinger Nationals?

Majeski has won the Nationals four times, in 2018, ’20, ’23 and ’25, in 10 starts and 11 attempts.

This was his first victory of any kind, though, since he won the championship race for the 2024 NASCAR truck title at Phoenix International Raceway in November.

Who were the other top finishers at Slinger Speedway?

Austin Nason lined up alongside Majeski on a handful of restarts in the second half but never was able to challenge. Andrew Morrissey finished third. Derek Kraus, who won the last-chance qualifying race to make the feature, finished fourth, and Casey Johnson was fifth.

Sauter ended up ninth.
