Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson left their matchup with the New York Liberty early on Tuesday night after she took a hard fall and landed awkwardly on her arm and wrist.

Wilson, midway through the second quarter at the Barclays Center, attacked the rim and went up for a layup. Wilson made contact with New York's Leonie Fiebich at the rim, however, and fell awkwardly directly on her arm. She hit the floor hard, and was clearly in a lot of pain as her teammates quickly surrounded her.

Wilson eventually left the floor and went to the bench, but she returned to the game and hit a pair of free throws. A few minutes later, she left the game for good and went back to the locker room early. The team then ruled her out at halftime with a right wrist injury. Further specifics are not yet known.

Wilson had two points and four rebounds in the first half after she went 0-of-3 from the field. The Aces took a two-point lead into the locker room at the break.

Wilson, a three-time league MVP, entered the night averaging 21.9 points and nine rebounds per game this season, her eighth in the WNBA.
