A four-star power forward who is ranked seventh statewide and 138th nationally by 247Sports, Smith committed to Ohio State in late August 2024.
He averaged 19.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 blocks this past season to pace the Golden Bears to a 14-10 record and a Division I regional semifinal.
He was named second-team all-district and third-team all-state.
Smith was Ohio State’s second commit for the 2026 class, following five-star guard Marcus Johnson from Garfield Heights. Johnson was this past season’s Mr. Basketball.
Prolific Prep, which is relocating from Napa, California, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in time for the coming season, finished 16th in USA TODAY’s Super 25. Powered by five-star recruit and Kansas signee Darryn Peterson, 247 Sports’ top player in the class of 2025, the team went 35-6 last winter.
